Elyjah Blankenship was at the Yankees-Orioles spring training game when he lost his most-prized possession. Elyjah was having a blast growing his autographed baseball card collection, adding signatures from his favorite players. In all the excitement, he dropped his most prized possession: a binder full of signed baseball cards. His mom is hoping anyone who picked it up will return it out of the goodness in their heart.

GOING LIVE: I got the call from my assistant news director dark and early. Our morning reporter called in and they needed someone to go to the search party for a young boy who went missing the day before. Jacket and boots it is and off we go!

Using social media, I was the only reporter who spoke with the mother of the missing boy. I went live for four hours, until he was found. Then I stuck around for the presser and went live on our station page with the new details.

This was a FOX 51 News Exclusive, aired on our station after the Super Bowl. This Kilgore family shares with me how thankful they are for their son’s recovery after tragic drowning accident. I also show some local resources for parents so they hopefully never have to face this terrifying situation.
